What Is Boas Media?

Boas Media is a GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and CRO agency in Copenhagen, founded in 2022 by Silas Boas Bondesen.

Who is behind Boas Media?

Boas Media is run, solo, by me, Silas Boas Bondesen. I studied at Copenhagen International School and then marketing and sales at a business academy in Copenhagen, but most of what I know came from building things. I started my first ecommerce business at sixteen, shot photography and video for Copenhagen Fashion Week, and then moved into conversion work for local businesses. In 2022 I ran the campaigns and shot the Google Business photography for StyleCut barbershop in Svanemoellen and Scherfig Hair, work that has since passed 500,000 views across their Google Business profiles, by Boas Media's own reporting.

Why did Boas Media start?

Boas Media started because I am a problem solver by nature, and I would rather fix something than watch it leak. I see an opportunity and I go after it with my whole heart, and that instinct is also why I went solo: I wanted to be the person accountable for the result, not one voice in a large agency. In 2024 I spent months trying to use generative AI to help estate agents sell property. No agent bought the idea, but the experiment taught me what shaped the business: the agents were not missing tools, they were missing connection to their clients. Closing that kind of gap is the whole job.

How did Boas Media come about?

Boas Media came about client by client, starting with Scherfig Hair in 2022. Watching that salon grow out of the work I did is what turned a side interest into a calling. My first true GEO client was Andes Barbershop, a project that combined GEO with conversion optimisation, and the place where the two halves of what I do came together. I moved toward GEO because it is where search is heading: Gartner forecasts a 25% drop in traditional search volume by 2026 as people move to AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity. For a problem solver, that shift is the opportunity of the decade.

What does Boas Media do today?

Boas Media does two things that work as one: GEO to get you found and cited in AI search, and conversion optimisation to turn that attention into sales. The GEO side covers the technical groundwork AI engines read, schema, clean metadata, llms.txt and source backed content, so tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews name your business when they answer a question in your market. The conversion side finds and fixes the leaks in your funnel so the traffic you already have stops slipping away. Most clients are small and mid sized businesses in Denmark, served in Danish and English.

What makes Boas Media different?

Boas Media treats every business like a boat with small leaks and patches them one at a time, so the gains compound. Most agencies chase one big win; I look for the small, patchable leaks across your funnel, because each fix makes the next one worth more. It means I am not only pulling new customers in through AI search, I am making sure the business is ready to convert them once they arrive. The approach is borrowed from Sir Dave Brailsford, whose aggregation of marginal gains, improving everything by 1%, took British cycling to seven of the ten track cycling gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, as Harvard Business Review reported. The same maths works for a small business. With Andes Barbershop, that compounding turned booking conversion from 3% to 40%, AI search visibility from 27% to 64%, and revenue up 44.29% over a measured 12 day period, all against the shop's own baseline (full case study).
